A Grand Rapids based DJ known for his undeniable ability to connect with the crowd through music.  DogFood has become a staple in the West Michigan music scene, and continues to provide authentic energy to his craft.  Not only does he contribute immensely to the local scene, he has taken his talents across the country to put on live sets that never disappoint.

Valarie James is the owner and lead trainer of VSJ Fitness in the Grand Rapids area. She has a passion for bridging the gap between mental health and fitness. Her experience includes teaching for Grand Valley State University, the Grand Rapids Kroc Center, and Mary Free Bed YMCA. Valarie loves to offer a creative fitness experience through her classes. She encourages all participants to “Embrace Your Assets” as the greatest way to express self-love. Valarie also offers coaching programs for those looking to reset during their fitness journey. Her mission is to help “Inspire the Everyday Person” reach their overall wellness goals through support, motivation, and empowerment.

  • Everyone is welcome!  This event is family friendly and inclusive of all ages and fitness levels.

Not at all!  Fit Jam is about having fun, moving your body, and expressing yourself.  All levels of experience are encouraged to join in.  If you do not want to participate in the workout, you can come enjoy the music!

Dress comfortably!  If you plan to participate in the workout, we suggest you are dressed in active wear.

Bring a water bottle and an open mind!  Optional: yoga mat or blanket if you’d like to sit or stretch during the event.

Yes, these events are held at Grand Rapids public parks, and are inclusive and accessible.  If you have specific accessibility needs, feel free to contact GRAAHI ahead of time.
